From Miramichi, Canada
- I was working at the Miramichi Exhibition in
August 1996 as a Cashier/Waiter.
We served Hotdogs, Hamburgers, Cheeseburgers, Sausages,
and Pop, underneath an Umbrella type
area just big enough to cover us. There were only 3 of us
working. The first day I worked was the first day I learned how to use the Electric Cash Register, and since the Exhibition only lasts 6 days each
year, I only work for 6 Days.
Each day was fine until the 6th Day It started to rain really hard. The rain shorted out our Cash Registers and we had to add everything up in our heads and write it down on a wet piece of cardboard. Well, things turned ugly.
People were getting impatient and we kept screwing up
the cash amounts. I'm glad I'm outta there.
Maybe next year I will work as Security.
