• During the Christmas season the comedy club I worked at stayed busy with large office parties. They would book reservations for the show and dinner. Upon arrival, the party members would choose from a list of items what they would have for dinner, which greatly increased our expediency with getting them served. What seats we had left were sold to the general public at the door. One night towards the end of the show, a waiter was checking on a couple. The lady got very indignant with the waiter wanting to know where her dinner was. The confused waiter proceeded to ask her what she had ordered. "I didn't order anything!" she replied. "Everyone else has already been served and finished and no one ever brought ours."
  

  The waiter went on to explain to the woman that we had a menu and she would have to tell him what she would like for dinner and he would be happy to see that she was not left out.
